God's Gracious Love

"He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?" (Romans 8:32, ESV)

This declarative statement about what God has already done for us also interrogates every doubt one may harbour as to God's willingness or ability to meet any of our needs.

In other words, our scripture text compels or challenges the believer to carefully consider the reality of their new creation status in Christ, how gracious God has been and how much more gracious He can be.

Beloved, rest assured that God withholds no good thing from those who do what is right (see Psalm 84:11).

In giving up "His own Son for us all" God has already demonstrated how much He loves you, how much He values your life, and how far He is willing to go to supply all your needs according to his riches in glory.

Hence, to have faith in the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is not to ask, "what can God do for me?" It is to ask, "what will He not do for me?" since He has already given His ultimate for me, His life as a ransom for mine. Inevitably, our text concludes, nothing! Nothing is too hard for God to do.

So, walk by faith, not by sight! Live every moment of each day in sober contemplation of the spiritual and practical implications of the finished work of Christ for your life today and in the future.

That redemptive work of Christ was work sublimely conceived by love, motivated by love, and completed by love - both God's and Christ's.

It is a love so intense that Christ did not count His death too great a price to express it comprehensively; a love so complete and perfect that scripture says it casts out all fears. Indeed, a love so loyal that it freely, faithfully, and graciously displays God's immeasurable compassion, kindness, and generosity toward us.

It is this love of God for us that fill our hearts with confidence to believe that "God who did not spare his own Son but gave Him up for us all, will also with Him graciously give us all things."

Love is breath, strength and knowing that we are all one in Gods gracious love. How beautiful a lament of Christ love. Living and breathing in our human form and connectivity. With gratitude for Pastor Ubani
